Algorithm using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
Bioelectrical resistance analysis focuses on the fact that muscle contains water while fat doesn't.
If you lightly hold the electrodes of the Device with both of the thumbs and index fingers, it sends a harmless amount of micro electric
current to the upper body (the lower body is corrected by the algorithm) and checks the resistance value of the body parts that the electric
current cannot be flowed for capturing the body fat.
Depending on the amount of water in the body, the degree of electrical passage, or resistance, will vary.
The point is that the electric current can be flowed in the water, but cannot in the fat.
Also, through the ONESOFTDIGM Co., Ltd. self-developed algorithm, the amount of skeletal muscle mass, basic metabolic rate, and
body water which involves the development of the body is calculated.
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) is a highly safe and efficient method of analyzing resistance values inside the body. For more accurate measurement results, we developed an algorithm by utilizing BIA and applied it to Device. In addition, we continue to study algorithms using the collected data and reflect the results directly into the app. However, since body composition is analyzed based on the principle of measuring the resistance value through body water, the result can be changed if there is a change in the water level due to fluid intake, pregnancy, and exercise. Therefore, measuring at the same time, in the same position, with the same body condition (water and food intake) may improve the accuracy of the measurement.
